The Best Monday Morning Ever

The loud ringing of my phone woke me up and i sluggishly picked the phone, wondering who could possibly be calling at this early hour on a monday morning, i looked at the phone screen and the number did not look familiar, i pressed the receive button and i was immediately unto the clear crisp voice of a lady, she said "am i speaking with Mr. Timothy?" the sleep on my face instantly disappeared as i answered with a yes.

she went on to ask again, "you did apply for an expatriate position in SNEPCO" i said yes without thinking, not that i even knew what SNEPCO meant, then she said again "i'm delighted to inform you that your application has been confirmed and you are to resume for work immediately, employment details has been forwarded to your email address, along with which you will use to identify yourself, thank you"

the call ended and i sprang out of bed with such dexterity, you would have thought was olympic gold winning athlete, i was overcome with excitement, even with my just completed masters degree i could never have applied for an expatriate position, i picked up my smart phone and i checked my recent emails and there it was "SNEPCO expatriate position employment details" i checked the email and the company turned out to be shell Nigeria exploration and production company, i did not believe what i was seeing, an expatriate position in shell oil and gas company? i never even applied for the job, there must have been a mix up somewhere, but who cares, such mix should happen from time to time.

I dropped the phone and headed towards the bathroom, i opened the bathroom door and the unexpected happened, you wont believe it, i woke up, it was all a dream, the alarm on my small Nokia phone was ringing it was 6:00 am and it was Monday morning, it was as though i should smash the phone of the wall, how could that have been a dream.

And so with my pocket full of dreams, i got out of bed and started preparations to face the day and head out to work, soon enough my prosperity will no longer be a dream but a reality i will soon be living, i pray the same for you the reader
